Our month's rent was up Sunday at the RV park in Rockport, so we loaded up and moved to the campground at Padre Island National Seashore. We enjoyed our stay at Enchanted Oaks and in addition to those we already knew, we met some really nice people while we were there.
But MY heart belongs to the beach and it's great to have a view of the water and the waves! We were lucky enough to get a site right across the street from the walkway that goes over the dunes to the beach. There are no rigs or buildings blocking our view so it's a perfect site.
It was a little cool and windy the day we arrived, but starting the next day the sun's been out, the sky's blue and it's a beautiful day! Here's a pic looking out our front door (hmmmm....should I say “front” since we have only one door?):

Just to prove how much I love being at the beach, I actually got up early enough this morning to be walking on the beach at sunrise!
There are no hook-ups here, so having the sun on the solar panels is a great thing! We just have to re-adjust our living style to conserve water and energy while we're here—no big deal, but have to remind ourselves to turn everything off whenever we aren't actually USING it.
We'll be here at the seashore for a week so hoping the weather stays nice--third day and SO FAR, SO GOOD!
Wow, that's one nice looking place. If we ever get back to S. Texas will have to check it out. Yep, we will boondock for a couple of nights - lol!
