It's almost the end of Thanksgiving Day, but we wanted to at least post a short note to tell all of you that we hope you had a good day and lots of blessings to be thankful for!
We're truly thankful for all our friends and family who share our lives. Whether you're one of those we see frequently or occassionally or simply share our lives with on the internet, we truly value that relationship and love every one of you.
Our day today was quite different than all the Thanksgivings we've had in the past, but a nice day nonetheless. We had a traditional turkey (and ham) dinner with Roger's mom, his brother Rick and his wife Julita. The ALF (Assisted Living Facility) where Mom lives has a WONDERFUL chef and the meal was delicious, but not quite the same as our previous family holidays when we had pot luck with the entire family, probably 15-20 different dishes and everyone "pigged out" all afternoon. However, it WAS nice to just sit down and be served and not have to cook or clean up afterwards.
We came home after lunch, watched a couple of movies, had leftovers (from a couple of days ago which was the bad part of "eating out"), and just relaxed for the evening.
One day soon I'll post some pics and stories, but for now I hope it's sufficient to simply say HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
