Still hanging out in Arklahoma.....

Things have been pretty much "same ole/same ole" with us lately...frequent trips from our pad to Fort Smith to visit Roger's mom and run errands, occasional baby-sitting duties for me, and playing Farm Town on Facebook when we're home. Cell service is so rotten that when we're here, I can't even enjoy talking on the phone! Some cute new pics of great-grandson Jaxson have been added to the photo link on the right of this page labeled "Our Family" if anyone's interested--hard to believe he's almost two months old already!

We were finally able to get away for a couple of days over the weekend, which was nice. Lisa and Tom had taken their 5th-wheel to Lake Ouachita last week but were having to leave for a few days to get furniture and "stuff" moved to Durant, OK, for Brian, Mattie and the baby. They needed an "RV sitter" so they could leave the trailer on their site while they were gone. We arrived Saturday morning before they left. Here are Lisa and Amber on the jet-skis:

After Lisa and Tom left, we took Timothy to Mid-America Science Museum in Hot Springs and explored some of the other areas of Lake Ouachita. Here's a swimming hole we found at one of the day use areas that was quite picturesque and looked really inviting, but we only used the restrooms there:

Sunday afternoon we left Tracey and Timothy at the lake (her husband and other son were on a 5-day float trip) and drove to Conway to visit my nephew and his new wife. They were recently married in Jamaica and we hadn't seen them since the wedding, so we thought this would be a good time to go. On the way to their house we saw this beautiful old church...just had to stop and take some pictures:
It was a short getaway, but we enjoyed the weekend very much. Probably won't have anything else to report until after we arrive in Eagle Nest June 29th, so until then, everyone enjoy your summer and we'll see you down the road.
