Leaving the coast, heading North

Well, the time has come to leave Port Aransas and, sadly, today hasn't been a day suitable for walking on the beach. It's extremely windy and has threatened rain all day--only a few drops so far, but certainly not a beautiful day. Since it wasn't a good day for the beach, I spent part of the afternoon working a jigsaw puzzle in the activities room while Roger watched the Barrett-Jackson car auction on TV.

We'll be heading out tomorrow morning (not TOO early!) and should arrive at Rainbow's End in Livingston, TX, mid- to late-afternoon. Rain is predicted between here and there, but we've found the weather forecasting to be so inaccurate most of the time maybe it will at least hold off until we get to Livingston. We should be back at the pad by Wednesday or Thursday, depending on weather and how far we drive each day.

It will likely be awhile before we post again, but we'll close this chapter of our travels with a couple of photos taken from our patio of the pond at sunrise.
