Still more Silverton area

We’ve been enjoying the scenery around camp, socializing with our friends, and just relaxing. The size of our group increased Friday when Bobby & Melba’s kids, Steve and Sharla (who aren’t really “kids” at all) and grandkids, Sean, Kristin and Kristin’s husband Ryan arrived. I made a big pot of spaghetti for dinner which we ate under the double awnings between their rigs—rain came just as we were cleaning up. Here’s a picture of the group

and one of Kristin’s Yorkie, Bentley:

Yesterday morning (Saturday) Roger and I went on an easy drive up to some of the lakes in the area—Molas, Little Molas and Andrews, then spent the afternoon watching the rain, reading and napping. This is Molas Lake:

And here are some shots of Andrews Lake:

This morning the whole group took the 4-wheel-drive road up to Clear Lake—one dirt bike, three 4-wheelers, a 4WD pickup and our Explorer. There’s still a lot of snow and the waterfalls and wildflowers are fabulous! Here’s some of the scenery on the way:

and here's Clear Lake:

The wildflowers in the mountains have been spectacular. Here's a sample, but I'm adding a link (look for it on the right-hand side of our blog under LINKS TO MORE PHOTOS……) for more wildflower photos:

There’s a Nascar Cup race on this afternoon, so Roger and I will be hanging out at home for the rest of the day, watching the race and working on our blog.
